Further digitalisation is another spearhead of our strategy. Unica wishes to be an IT-governed business in which data and digital technology are used to the maximum possible extent in the provision of services to our customers and in our operations.

Digital working practice is already the standard in many construction projects, in which BIM (Building Information Modelling) is used in digital models to determine precisely where walls should be built and pipes and cables installed. This makes it possible to easily introduce intelligent adjustments when needs change. By using digital twins, we enhance the context in which to solve spatial puzzles. By analysing measurements with sensors, digital simulations can be carried out to implement the appropriate measures and to spend time and money as efficiently as possible.

Digitalisation also has an impact on our employees. Our challenge lies in creating a pleasant work experience for them, and supplying them with the appropriate tools. We use digital applications to make our work easier and better, so that our employees can put their skills and knowledge to work. No matter how smart the technological design of a building is, it is the task of our specialists to use all the data at their fingertips to decide on how it should be used.
